Mekitec – Strengthening the executive team
Mekitec is a Finnish X-ray equipment manufacturing company that helps food processing companies ensure the safety and quality of their products by providing them with compact and easy to use X-ray machinery. With Mekitec’s products, food processing companies can improve their product safety, make quality control easier and faster, reduce the number of reclamations and thus reinforce their company brand.
The aim of the executive search assignment was to raise Mekitec’s software project management to a “world class” level. Right away in the planning phase it became obvious that this would be a very challenging recruitment process. We understood that we needed not only to find the right candidates, but also raise their interest in Mekitec and its products, and finally also to entice them to apply for the position.
To accomplish this we needed a trustworthy recruitment partner with the time and skills to study our business thoroughly, and the resources to fulfill a vast search process. It was clear that the best candidate would not be job-searching at the moment. We were prepared for the possibility of not finding the right person and the board agree that we would not hire anyone if the quality of the candidates did not meet our expectations.
